Great staff! I was in a car accident and didn’t know where to start. I knew I needed help with a concussion. The receptionist was very informative and helpful. I have seen a huge improvement in my pain levels since visiting Van Sports Physio every week. I usually see Alen for therapy on my foot after having cryosurgery for neuromas. I find Alen and all the staff to be very friendly, supportive and professional. Booking is easy, they have good availability and offer direct billing to insurance (Chambers plan accepted). Excellent high-quality physiotherapy. Everybody is different. Every injury has a different. Every person seeking help is at different level of understanding and ability. Compared to the usual physiotherapy I have received over the years where they treat everyone with the same injury exactly the same with the same techniques where someone spends 5 minutes checking on my damaged body, then hooks me up to same electronic machine for 30 minutes before telling me I'm done, see you next time. On a set schedule, using the same set of tools. Alen works on my damaged body hands-on, getting to see and feel what is going on. What is healing on time, and what needs more attention. He spends the entire 30 minutes working with me and on me. He is with me giving pointers, taking my feedback, and adjusting my session exactly to what i need to heal the best I can. I can not say enough good things about the treatment Iave received. I'm a 58 year old overweight cyclist who has recently had a full right knee replacement and needed rehab to recover. I have recovered from many terrible injuries over my lifetime, and I have trained with top coaches, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and nutritionists as a professional cyclist. Getting the proper attention and treatment is the key to the best recovery.

As a 46yr old owner and active member of the Home Run Movers team (and outdoor enthusiast), it’s crucial that I keep on top of my fitness and conditioning. I recently experienced what I feared was a slipped disc, that kinda scared me. So, I made an appt based on my partners positive reference. I was feeling better before hand, but I’m glad that kept the appointment. Alen listened closely, ran me through a list of physical tests and identified a different, albeit important issue that had caused the problem on my right side causing sciatic pain and instability. He educated me on the cause and equipped me with a series of simple exercises that I will be doing to strengthen that area and bring it back into balance. Thanks Alen, I appreciate you.

Alen Birac is an amazing physiotherapist! I came in with a couple of issues that have been bothering me for several years. Yvonne and Collin are great and I can’t recommend them enough for anyone recovering from injuries hoping to return to full functionality and return to sports. They were able to work together to help develop a recovery plan for my shoulder knee and ankle in conjunction after an accident. They were very patient and supportive while pushing me to challenge myself during each session to help recover. They struck a great balance between managing pain while increasing strength. Yvonne was really impressive! Have had shoulder pain for years and have met many physios over those years! Not easy to spot the exact pain-point but Yvonne spent considerable amount of time and using techniques to zero-in on the zone of pain and whether it was a muscle, tendon, ligament. I'm quite careful about where I go and who I see as I've been dealing with chronic injuries to both my shoulders and hands for several years now. I've seen Siobhan for 6 months, she's excellent! The different injuries I've had in my knee and hip have improve notoriously with the treatment.. She's very clear in explaining what is happening with your body (for me education is important so you can manage your injuries properly), giving you variate of exercises to do at home and answering all your possible questions. Used to see Michael for a running injury - he was fantastic and worked with me diligently to get to the root cause of the problem opposed to quick fixes I've experienced at other clinics. Will be visiting the VanSports team again this week for a separate concern. Communication is always fantastic with incredibly quick response times for all inquiries. Woke up with a stiff neck and decided to try this clinic out as its centrally located. Booked an appointment with Mariana and it turned out to be amazing! Within a few minutes she was able to diagnose the problem and reduce the pain with some massage and shockwave therapy. KIM MCARTHUR YAE is a registered Physio at this office and I was recommended to her by my amazing friend Shelby so I knew I’d be in good hands! Kim is brilliant and really knows how to help you achieve your goals, whether you are an athlete and trying to get stronger or fix muscles that you are overworking (I originally went to her for my knees during training for Tough Mudder) or if you were in an accident and need help healing from injuries (this is what she is helping me with now). I've been working with a frustrating shoulder injury for 2+ years and finally feel like I'm making meaningful progress to recovery now that I'm working with Siobhan at Van Sports & Physio. I've been really impressed by the combination of knowledge and willingness to explain what we're doing and how each step is getting us closer to the ultimate goal. I like to know -why- we're doing what we're doing, not just what to do. I've had questions / challenges in between sessions that always get answered promptly over email. They've also been proactive with Covid-19 precautions providing gloves and masks when needed. Looking forward to continuing my rehab and ultimately getting back to 100%. I've been working with Siobhan for over a year now on a meniscus injury in my right knee. She has been phenomenal with supporting me and giving me exercises and stretches that really help to strengthen and alleviate the knee pain. I see her once a month for maintenance (because I'm terrible at not doing her prescribed exercises every day) and then once a week whenever my knee pain feels worse. If I followed her instructions more rigorously, I'm sure I wouldn't have to keep seeing her for physio. The rest of the staff here are also very friendly and always remember my name!

I've had a sprain ankle problem for over 4 years now from playing competitive soccer and sports. Recently injured it again a month back and thought I try out Physiotherapy for the first time. I am seeing Yvonne Law for an ICBC knee injury. She is awesome and feels like an old friend. If you forget an outfit or just don't want to bring anything they have clothes you can wear. The people at the desk are also really friendly every time. The location is right by the Granville skytrain which makes it convenient. I had some trouble finding the office in the building the first time. It's on the 5th floor of the building, and if you go outside of regular business hours you have to call for them to come get you in the lobby.

Finding a right physiotherapist has been a very challenging task for me until I met Kim after reading reviews; I want to thank everyone who left reviews on Kim! I have been getting treatments from Kim since my running injury in July and treatments from Kim have been highly beneficial to my recovery to say the least. Kim is extremely knowledgeable and shares her knowledge in a way that makes sense to me. Kim will tell you what you need to hear to recover and avoid injury in future with genuine understanding, concern, and respect in her voice. I am aware physiotherapist as Kim is hard to find. I am so glad to have found her as I plan to continue to pursue my passion for running and will be needing help throughout. Kim is an incredible physiotherapist! I have now gone to her with three injuries and her methods have been so incredibly effective and efficient. She understands that people can't necessarily take time off work to heal, so she gives easy to do exercises for at home, work or even when you're out and about. Kim's communication is very clear and direct and she made it very easy to understand what was happening with my injuries and how the exercises were going to heal them. She is super easy going and funny, which helps so much because I always feel like there is no hope for recovery when I show up to see her. Her positivity, support and humour makes me believe that I can heal my body and feel like a human again! As long as I live in Vancouver, I will never go to anyone else!

Kim is a no nonsense, very technical physiotherapist. She's been helping me maintain good health while I compete at a high level in adventure racing, cycling, and triathlon. She's helped me overcome stubborn IT band issues, neck and back problems, and has given me an exercise regime that has helped improved muscle imbalances, core stability, and strength. I highly recommend Kim - she's helped me tremendously!!

Kim is top notch. Her diagnosis skills and pragmatic treatment plan have worked wonders for a long-standing running injury. Moreover, she is super personable and seems to genuinely care about my recovery. Definitely the best physiotherapist I have ever been to. Highly recommended.

If you need a physiotherapist, Kim is the best. I was dealing with neck and upper back pain for a year before I found Kim. I tried what felt like everything and since seeing Kim, I'm pain free, stronger and more aware of my posture while I'm working. I work in theatre which can mean at times my job is highly physical and at other times sitting for hours at a computer writing. I have recommended others to Kim and they have been just as happy as me. She helps you understand why your body is reacting the way it is and implements ways to fix and prevent it happening again. I can not recommend her enough.
